FAQ Filler

Types of Dermal Fillers

The various types of dermal fillers include:

· HYALURONIC ACID: While it has a variety of uses, its main function is to retain water and keep the tissues well lubricated. Many people take hyaluronic acid as a supplement, but it’s also used in topical serums, eye drops, and injections.

· CALCIUM HYDROXYLAPATITE: A semi-permanent wrinkle filler that’s suspended in a gel and used to increase soft tissue. This collagen stimulator is intended to improve the surface texture of your skin and stimulate your own collagen so that it lasts longer.

· POLY-L LACTIC ACID: An injectable product that can be used to gradually restore volume and stimulate the formation of collagen.

Am I a good candidate for dermal fillers?

You should consider dermal fillers if you:

· Are concerned with moderate-to-deep lines between the nose and mouth.

· Wish you had plumper, fuller lips.

· Are facing age-related volume loss in cheeks.

· Desire natural-looking results without surgery.

How long does the treatment take?

A dermal filler treatment typically takes anywhere between 30 and 45 minutes.

What results will I see?

You’ll enjoy smoother lines and wrinkles, greater volume, and/or plumper lips immediately after treatment. In most cases, these results will last for up to 1 year.

Is there any downtime?

After a filler treatment, you may face minor side effects like redness, swelling, and tenderness, at the injection site. You can treat them with a cold compress and expect them to disappear within 2 to 3 hours or a few days.

You may also experience some bruising that will likely last anywhere between a few days and never more then two weeks. To resolve it faster, you can use Arnica Montana before treatment and/or take digestive enzyme. We also recommend you ice your treatment area for the initial 24 to 48 hours several times a day and apply a warm compress to the bruised area for the following 48 to 72 hours.

Fortunately, you can wash your face thoroughly and resume your daily responsibilities right away. Just be sure to avoid UV exposure, massages, or facials for at least 1 week after treatment.
